Another signature Crue album.takes me back to the primal scream days with the Crue attitude of old.I love these guys and the Crue just isnt Motley Crue without these 4 original rockers. The title track is an all time favorite of mine, especially the music video.
Good for a ghettoblaster but not for my high-end stereo. Even hard rock doesn't have to be like that. Sounds like recorded with an old cassette recorder. Compressed, sharp, unbalanced, no depth, no staging, just musical noise.
Has Vince Neil killed anyone with drunk driving lately. Oh, MAN is this awful. Mick Mars is MIA, and there are at least 100 bar bands in Missouri that have a better rhythm section than Nikki "same four notes" Sixx and Tommy "Retard" Lee. I guess he can't fit in a sports car with the big GUT he has now. This makes Theatre of Pain look like Moving Pictures, Born to Run or Led Zeppelin IV (forgive me for mentioning those great albums in the same sentence with Motley Crap). Apparently, there is still a market for this banal, unmusical garbage.
The first half sounded like Vince was reading his lyrics from a cue card. Terrible waste.
Too bad. It could have been so much better if Vince would have put some real enthusiasm into it and the mix would not have catered to Tommy's overinflated self-importance by drowning out everything but the drums.
This album was a real disappointment. The second half, the drums seemed to be toned down a little, but still killed Vince's lyrics and he was actually singing on this half.
I really wanted to like this. I am a huge fan of the Crue, but, man, was I disappointed.
The drums drowned out everything else.
I caught them in concert a couple of months ago touring on this album and the concert was good. Nothing new, nothing different, nothing fresh. 3 to 4 good tracks, the rest is just your basic 3 chord average Motley Crue.
Seems like they just go through the motions and rushed the writing and production. It's not a horrible release. I guess they needed the money because this album isn't special at all.
It's average. But mostly because they only played 2 songs from this album. You'd think after all these years and experience they would get better and better at their profession.
But sadly they didn't on this release.
